AND nabbed 12 drug dealers in 6 cases-PSD

Ammon News - Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) agents are continuing their "intensive" campaigns to fight all forms of drug trading, as 12 drug dealers and traffickers were arrested in possession of "large" quantities of narcotics in 6 separate cases, media spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said.
In the first case, three people involved in drug trading planned to transfer a "large" quantity of narcotic substances to the Kingdom's southern governorates for sale, the spokesperson said in a press statement.
After uncovering date of drug transfer, two vehicles used for that purpose were raided and three people were arrested. 100,000 narcotic pills were also seized in one of the vehicles, the spokesperson noted.
In the capital Amman, AND dealt with three cases. In the first, four promoters were arrested in possession of 7 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 1,000 narcotic pills, while in the second a pusher was caught with 10 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 1,000 narcotic pills. In the third, two promoters were raided, arrested, and seized with 8 palm-sized sheets of hashish and an amount of narcotic pills.
In Mafraq, a drug dealer was raided, arrested, and seized with 7 palm-sized sheets of of hashish and 1,000 narcotic pills.
In the last case, in West Balqa, a person who grew narcotic marijuana seedlings inside his house was arrested.
The official announced all suspects involved in the cases will be referred to State Security Court (SSC).
