Ammon News - The national karate team has departed for Pamplona, Spain, to compete in the World Team Karate Cup, scheduled to begin this Friday.
The team's qualification follows a stellar performance in the previous edition held in Hungary, where they secured the gold medal. This achievement highlights Jordan’s continued prominence in international karate competitions.
In the group stage, Jordan has been drawn into Group D alongside Tunisia, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Colombia. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, promising intense competition for a place in the next round.
The team delegation comprises several key figures, including Firas Hassouna as the head of the delegation, technical director Mohammad Fityan, and coach Mahmoud Sajan. The team also includes physiotherapist Muath Al-Madani and players Omar Shuqra, Afif Gheith, Hassan Masarweh, Ahmad Shadeed, Mohammad Al-Jaafreh, Zaki Abu Qaoud, and Yousef Nofal. Petra
