Ammon News - Israeli authorities have launched an investigation into two Israelis who accidentally crossed into Jordanian territory from within Israel. Jordanian army forces apprehended them shortly after their crossing.

An official statement from the Israeli army indicated that the two individuals were released and returned to Israel, adding that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.

Channel 14 reported that the incident concluded without any injuries.

The Israeli army warned that crossing the border into Jordanian territory, or any other neighboring country, other than through a regulated border crossing, constitutes a violation of the law. It was also stated that such an act is very dangerous.
