Ammon News - A tangible rise in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, with warm weather conditions prevailing in most parts of the Kingdom except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba where it will be relatively hot, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Thursday will see a further increase in mercury levels, becoming 3-5 degrees above their annual average and bringing relatively hot and dusty conditions in much of the country, with southeasterly moderate winds, the forecasters noted.
Toward Friday, mercury will drop again significantly, making back warm conditions in many regions. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will witness relatively hot weather, the JMD added.
Today, the highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom will range between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 17C or even 13C in the southern highlands.
In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be hotter with mercury reaching a high of 37C and a low of 24C.
