Jordan sent 61 trucks, 13 aid planes to earthquake victims since start of relief campaign

Jordan has shipped about 1,000 tons of ais to Syria and Turkey, since the start of the humanitarian response for earthquake victims, worth JD10 million, according to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization's (JHCO) Secretary-General, Hussein Al-Shibli.

Al-Shibli said, on Thursday, that most of the donors to the earthquake-affected people in Syria and Turkey have coordinated with them.

Al-Shibli continued, "JHCO is ready to cooperate with any party wants to prepare the help provided to Syria and Turkey.

Al-Shibli noted that the organization continues to receive monetary and in-kind donations, and that since the start of the relief effort, 13 flights have flown for the earthquake victims. He also noted that around 61 trucks have arrived Syria.

As of the end of Wednesday, JHCO has reportedly sent 61 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid to Syria via the Jaber-Nasib border crossing.

He said that the most people prefer to donate in-kind items like food hampers, electric generators, and other things.

The Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization has an account at Bank al Etihad's Al Wehdat Branch that accepts cash donations in Jordanian dinars for citizens of Turkey. The account number is 0040/10/16599/15107, and the IBAN NO. JO05UBSI1030000040101659915107.
