King participates in consultative meeting with Arab leaders in Abu Dhabi

Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday participated with Arab leaders in a consultative meeting hosted in Abu Dhabi, at the invitation of United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to a Royal Court statement, the meeting saw the participation of Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman, Egypt President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Held under the theme "Prosperity and Stability in the Region", the meeting discussed ways to cement cooperation between the participating countries across all sectors, in service of regional development, prosperity, and stability, through joint action and regional integration.
The leaders discussed relations among their countries, as well as areas of cooperation and coordination that serve their peoples’ aspirations for further progress and prosperity.
The discussions touched on regional and international developments of mutual concern, in addition to political, security, and economic challenges in the region. The the leaders stressed the need to coordinate positions and enhance pan-Arab action to address these challenges.
They highlighted the deep-rooted ties between their countries and reiterated that building bilateral and regional partnerships is key to securing a better future for their people.
They reaffirmed their shared vision of promoting regional stability and prosperity, emphasizing the importance of good neighborly relations, state sovereignty, and non-interference in their internal affairs.
