Ammon News - Cold and partly cloudy weather conditions are expected to prevail on Sunday in much of the country, with a chance for scattered showers in the northern region, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

In its report, the JMD warned of poor horizontal visibility in the early morning hours over the highlands and the Badia due to heavy fog.

Toward Monday, the Kingdom will be gradually affected by a cold and wet air mass accompanied by a depression centered on Egypt’s northern coasts, triggering cold and cloudy conditions nationwide, with rainfall that may turn heavy, thunder, and hail at times in the southern and eastern areas. However, the chance of rain becomes weak at night hours, the forecasters predicted.

Temperatures in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 14 degrees Celsius and a low of 6C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 22C, sliding to 10C at night.
