EMRC launches campaign to monitor adherence to tax-free kerosene

Ammon News - The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory commission (EMRC), Eng. Ziyad Saaida, said Tuesday, that the EMRC launched an intensive monitoring campaign to ensure that fuel stations are committed to selling kerosene at the declared price, after taking the royal directives.
He added, in a press statement, that the cadres of the judicial police in the commission continue their regulatory, supervisory and field inspection roles to ensure the commitment of the operating authorities in the sector to sell kerosene to citizens at the announced price on Monday, and not mixing kerosene with any other materials.
At the beginning of this year, the EMRC launched an intensive monitoring campaign on the oil and gas derivatives sector, fuel stations and gas depots, to ensure their readiness to face the weather conditions that the Kingdom is currently witnessing.
Saaida called on citizens to report any shortage in the supply of oil derivatives and cooperate in announcing cases of tampering, illegal extraction of energy.
