CARC: waiting decisions regarding procedures for those coming from China

Ammon News - Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner Captain Haitham Misto, said Tuesday that the CARC is awaiting the decision of the Epidemiology Committee Tuesdays’ meeting regarding procedures for those coming from China to Jordan.
The Epidemiology Committee is holding a meeting Tuesday to discuss and find out the measures that will be taken to deal with the mutated viruses, according to the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Raed Shboul.
The head of the committee, Firas Qudah, said that there are numbers infected with the (BF7).
The minister of Health, Firas Hawari said in a meeting on Monday that “the virus is not new, has no treatment or vaccination, and infects 90% of children under the age of two.”
Hawari pointed out that most of the countries in the world have infected their children.
He continued by saying that the ministry has worked to equip cadres and field hospitals to deal with this virus, indicating that the information received from the WHO regarding (BF7) indicates that it is on of the types of the mutants of the Omicron virus, and it is spread in 90 countries, and is not limited to China.
He stressed that the WHO has not recommended, until now, any measures regarding travel.
Shboul said that there are no direct lines with China, addinf that we warned against contact and the need to wear a mask.
He explained that the percentage of citizens receiving the vaccines reached 75%, indicating that about 100,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to deal with the (BF7) virus will soon arrive in the Kingdom, which are donations from France.
