Ammon News - Relatively cold weather is forecast in most parts of Jordan on Sunday, with scattered rains in the southern and southeastern regions as the country is poised for weather instability, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

The JMD warned of heavy rains and low visibility from fog forming during the early morning hours and late at night over mountainous areas and the Badia regions. It warned from torrents in valleys and low-lying areas and from slipping on the road.

Similar weather will persist on Monday as temperatures will drop slightly with clouds at different altitudes. Rain is expected to fall in the southern and eastern parts of the country.

Temperatures in Amman will range between a high of 13 degrees Celsius and a low of 4C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 21C, sliding to 11C at night.
