Cabinet approves executive program of Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025 priorities)

Ammon News - The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the executive program for the Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025 priorities).

Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh said that approving the program is a government commitment to implement the Economic Modernization Vision as a key pillar in the comprehensive modernization project, led by His Majesty King Abdullah, with its three political, economic and administrative phases.

The Prime Minister directed all relevant ministries and institutions to start implementing the executive program within the timelines set forth therein, while preserving the vision's ambitious goals.

The executive program includes a specific time frame for implementation, clear indicators for measuring performance, and an electronic system to follow up on achievement, Khasawneh noted.

He underlined the importance of the vision as a major national project that includes practical and realistic targets that would form a roadmap for the national economy over the next ten years, and would be implemented according to a gradual methodology distributed over the phases stipulated in the vision.

He pointed out that the executive program constitute a practical and flexible document that integrates with the public sector modernization roadmap, and was developed according to a participatory approach through four ministerial committees and 22 work teams, and in consultation with the private sector.

The program included 183 initiatives, which were selected among nearly 380 initiatives that will be implemented through 418 priorities, with a total cost of JD2.3 billion until the end of 2025, including JD670 million in 2023.

The executive program document will be published in its final form on the vision’s website (www.jordanvision.jo) early 2023.
