Ammon News - The ancient city of Petra has been witnessing a normal and regular tourist movement since the early morning hours on Tuesday, after the cadres of the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) rehabilitated the tourist paths in the archaeological site after the heavy rains that the region was exposed to on Monday.
Chief Commissioner of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority Suleiman Farajat, said that the authority's cadres worked to rehabilitate the main path as soon as possible and in principle to ensure that visitors to Petra from all over the world enter the archaeological area with ease.
Farajat added that the tourist movement proceeds naturally, regularly, and in an orderly way to ensure the safety of visitors and remove any obstacles, describing the tourism movement as good and taking place easily and within the planned tourist paths.
He pointed out that the authority's cadres are currently working to rehabilitate the streets, water drainage springs, ferries, and areas affected by the rain in all the Petra District communities.
