Ammon News - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing said Monday that all roads of the Kingdom were open after heavy downpours, and that it only temporarily closed the Dead Sea-Karak highway due to the accumulation of mud and stones.

In a press release, the ministry warned motorists on highways of low visibility due to the incessant rainfall and low pressure, and said its fully-equipped vehicles and crews were on standby to respond to all weather conditions and any emergencies through its 106 teams spread throughout the Kingdom's governorates.

The ministry ordered crews to raise their alert level to medium, adding that it was carrying out regular inspections in various regions in coordination with other agencies to address complaints and maintain services to citizens.

Other minor incidents crews dealt with were light gatherings of rainwater in Zarqa and Balqa, as well as removing stones and mud on roadsides, it said.
