Ammon News - The Ministry of Labor launched the Himaya (protection) platform for receiving labor-related complaints, in addition to domestic workers complaints.

The platform, which will be launched next year, will include 10 languages such as Bengali, Hindi, Chinese, Indonesian, Nepali, Sri Lankan and Filipino, in addition to Arabic and English.

Imad Al-Habarneh, Head of the Complaints and Hotline Department at the Ministry of Labor, said that Unions, embassies, and civil society organizations will be given access to the system to submit e-complaints on behalf of workers, especially with regard to suspected human trafficking cases, noting that the worker can submit a complaint and follow up on it via his/her account on the platform.

The three-day workshop is held by the Tamkeen Association for Legal Aid and Human Rights, with the support of the Regional Program for Development and Protection to support Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq, which kicked off Thursday in the Dead Sea region.
