Prince Faisal chairs JOC board meeting

Ammon News - HRH Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), chaired Thursday the JOC board meeting, which was held in Al-Salam Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.

The meeting was attended by HRH Princess Alia Bint Al Hussein, President of the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation, Minister of Youth Mohammad Al Nabulsi, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Al Hanandeh, JOC VPs, Sari Hamdan and Khaled Atiyat, JOC Secretary General Naser Majali and the board members.

Prince Faisal lauded "our various national teams sport achievements in 2022, and efforts of sports federations in serving Jordanian sports."

The meeting covered achievements of "our sports federations by our various national teams in this year, in which Jordan participated in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey, and won 12 medals, including two gold medals, four silver medals, and six bronze medals."

The board meeting also approved to start implementing the "Developing the Effectiveness of Sports Organization" project, which was launched with the aim of institutionalizing and developing the performance of sports federations to ensure its sustainability and enhance the confidence of its stakeholders and beneficiaries.

The meeting endorsed minutes of the meetings of the JOC Executive Office and reviewed of the JOC 2023 initial budget.
