Media commission backtracks on controversial decision on 'offensive content'

Ammon News - The President of the Jordanian Press Association, Rakan Saaida, said on Tuesday the Association had struck an agreement with the Media Commission to freeze procedures related to a circular it had issued on "offensive content and content of unknown origin."

Saaida agreed over the phone with the President of the Media Commission to hold a meeting to discuss the circular amid an emphasis on the importance and necessity of protecting media freedom and not harming it.
