Madaba Governor receives Bulgarian envoy

Ammon News - Governor of Madaba, Nayef Al Hedayat, on Tuesday met with Ambassador of Bulgaria to Jordan, Dimitri Mayolve.

The meeting covered opportunities of cooperation in tourism and investment fields.

Mayolve also met with Mayor of Madaba, Aref Rawajeeh, and members of the municipality council.

In the meeting, Mayolve underlined the importance of cultural exchange and cooperation between Jordan and Bulgaria due to because of the Kingdom's good reputation.

Rawajeeh lauded the Jordanian-Bulgarian ties, highlighting the importance of Madaba in terms of investment and tourism, and the possibility of establishing joint projects, exchanging visits, expertise and twinning between Madaba, the Arab tourism capital, and similar Bulgarian cities.

Mayolve visited the Madaba Visitor Center, and was briefed by head of the center, Wael Jaanini, on the tourism landscape in the governorate and its key achievements at the global level.

The ambassador, accompanied by his spouse, toured a number of tourist archaeological sites in Madaba.
