This agreement was reached following a meeting held on Sunday at the Ministry of Transport with the two unions and representatives of the sector, during which they discussed increasing cash subsidy for the passenger transport sector in return for not raising transportation fares for citizens. Under the agreement, all forms of strike in this sector shall end, starting from Monday, in exchange for an increase in cash subsidy for three months, which shall be reviewed and renewed periodically.
