The US Embassy warned its citizens in Jordan of incidents appear to be related to the ongoing truckers’ strike.

In a warning message to its citizens, the embassy said, "The embassy is aware of reports of individuals protesting, burning tires, and throwing stones at vehicles on the streets in Jordan some highways, especially in the south, have been temporarily closed and these incidents appear to be related to the ongoing truck drivers' strike."

The Embassy called on its citizens to avoid large crowds and large protests, and to seek alternative routes, in addition to be aware of your surroundings and monitor local media and to contact the police by dialing 911 in immediate danger.
