Under-17 basketball team faces India in AFC Asian Cup 3x3 quarter-finals

Ammon News - Jordan’s national under-17 basketball team is playing a match with its Indian counterpart in the quarter-finals of the fifth edition of the 3x3 AFC Asian Cup at 6:40 am on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

If Jordan’s Junior Falcons beat India, they will meet the winner of the match between China and Iran which will also be held today at 8:55am, in the semi-finals.

The national team — led by coach Haitham Tlaib and including in its ranks players Bassel Al-Khawaldeh, Muhammad Nasr Al-Din, Mahmoud Obeidat, and Rawhi Kilani won its three matches in the preliminary round against Singapore (18-16), Samoa (17-11), and Bangladesh (21-7). In the group stage of the Asian Championship, they defeated Turkmenistan (21-13) and lost to Mongolia (10-20).
