Mercury levels continue upward trend

Ammon News - Warm weather is forecast in much of the Kingdom on Wednesday and over the next few days as temperatures continue to approach the 20 degrees Celsius following a relatively chilly wet season.

In a daily weather brief, the Jordan Meteorological Department said further rises in mercury levels are forecast on Thursday and Friday with daytime temperatures above seasonal average by 5 to 7 degrees Celsius. In Amman and much of the highlands, the highs will hover around 20 degrees on Wednesday but are forecast to go up further over the next few days.

Nevertheless, it will remain chilly at night with the lows around 7 degrees. In the Aqaba and the Jordan Valley, it will be relatively hot with daytime temperatures around 30 degrees.
