The Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) said that the suspect tried to escape the anti-begging staff, who had started to question her impersonation, by entering a shop and changing her clothes to look like a 20-year old. The suspect, who had been detained more than once for begging, had JOD 180 at the time of the arrest, the MoSD said, indicating it was the amount of money she made in a single day. It added that the suspect had operated in both Amman and Aqaba. The suspect is under custody pending her trial.

Anti-begging units Monday detained a twentysomething woman in Aqaba dressed as an older woman to beg for money.

The Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) said that the suspect tried to escape the anti-begging staff, who had started to question her impersonation, by entering a shop and changing her clothes to look like a 20-year old.
