The Ministry of Local Affairs urged municipalities and local councils to remove the election signs from the streets as they could be thrown over the street by the strong winds, posing a danger to pedestrians. Secretary-General of the Ministry Hussein Mheidat demanded the opening of the emergency cells starting 3:00 pm Wednesday until further notice, urging officials to take prompt actions in case of emergencies.

Ammon News - The government Wednesday announced a state of emergency starting today as Jordan is posed to be impacted with severe weather conditions with the possibility of upping the emergency to full alert.

The Ministry of Local Affairs urged municipalities and local councils to remove the election signs from the streets as they could be thrown over the street by the strong winds, posing a danger to pedestrians.

Secretary-General of the Ministry Hussein Mheidat demanded the opening of the emergency cells starting 3:00 pm Wednesday until further notice, urging officials to take prompt actions in case of emergencies.
