The source said the rules of engagement were applied, which led to the suspect's arrest and transfer to the competent authorities. In addition, the source affirmed that the JAF will always exert their utmost efforts to counter whoever threatens to harm Jordan's security and its citizens and will deal with "full force and firmness" and implement the new rules of engagement, to prevent any infiltration or smuggling attempts.

The Northern Military Zone on Wednesday thwarted a person's attempt to infiltrate the Kingdom from Syrian territory, according to an official military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- the Arab Army.

The source said the rules of engagement were applied, which led to the suspect's arrest and transfer to the competent authorities.
