"Tobacco case" hearing adjourned until next Tuesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - President of the State Security Court (SSC) Military Judge Col. Mohammad Afif decided, at the end of a public hearing on Tuesday in which he listened to a prosecution witness in the so called "tobacco case", to adjourn the hearing until next Tuesday to complete the hearing of a number of prosecution witnesses.

The hearing couldn't be held on Wednesday as one of the defendants was hospitalized on suspicion of a heart attack.

To date, the court has heard 14 prosecution witnesses; in the "tobacco case" in which 29 defendants involved in; including six fugitives, and 24 companies, including 22 owned or registered with or represented by 22 of the defendants, and two companies registered with two public prosecution witnesses, who amount to 141 public prosecution witnesses.
