Gold Prices Hold Steady in Local Market Amid Muted Demand

Ammon News - Gold prices in the Kingdom remained stable on Saturday, with 21-karat gold the preferred grade among local buyers priced at JD 54.60 per gram in retail sales, and JD 52.60 for buyback transactions, according to the latest market rates.
Prices for other popular gold grades also held firm, with 24-karat gold selling at JD 63 per gram and 18-karat gold at JD 48.60. Ribhi Allan, President of the Jordanian Jewelers and Goldsmiths Syndicate, reported that the iconic 7-gram Rashadi lira is currently priced at JD 382, while the 8-gram English lira is listed at JD 437.
Allan noted to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that local trading activity remains subdued, with demand and supply on the softer side in Jordan's gold market.
Globally, gold closed its weekly trading session on Friday at $2,684 per ounce, reflecting continued international interest in the precious metal.
