Prime Minister meets Abu Dhabi Media chief

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Al-Mulki on Thursday received Director-General of Abu Dhabi Media, Dr. Ali bin Tamim, and the accompanying delegation, in presence of the Minister of Culture, Nabih Shukm and the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammad Al-Momani.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the robust and historic brotherly ties between Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in all fields, sponsored and supported by the two countries' leaderships.
The Prime Minister voiced his appreciation for the joint cooperation and support provided by Abu Dhabi Media for Jordanian drama to produce distinguished works.
Al-Mulki highlighted the importance of focusing on the joint production of television drama to reflect the society's values and ethics, and said the success carved by the Jordanian television drama, "Sons of the Castle," which Abu Dhabi-based company contributed to its production.
On common heritage, Al-Mulki urged relevant bodies in the two countries to focus on heritage treasures visible in "our towns, villages and cities to produce serious dramas respected and accepted by the Arab public".
On a related context, Minister Shukm expressed his ministry's readiness to provide Abu Dhabi Media with renowned Jordanian novels that won international awards for production in joint drama works.
In turn, Dr. Ali bin Tamim expressed appreciation of the level of cooperation with the relevant Jordanian institutions in the production of distinguished dramatic shows.
Abu Dhabi Media is keen to strengthen its future cooperation with Jordanian producers, he added.
The Arab public need serious dramatic and artistic works that mimic challenges facing Arab societies, he pointed out.
