Ammon News - Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday condemned as "a heinous and treacherous act" a shooting incident in the Rabiah neighborhood of Amman which injured three police officers.

In a statement, Fayez wished the injured a speedy recovery and called for "striking with an iron fist anyone who tries to tamper with the country's security and stability."

He reiterated the Senate's pride in the armed forces and security services, the defenders of the country's borders and stability, for their sacrifices and standing against the outlaws and "those who viciously act in the dark to undermine national security and intimidate people."

"We, in the Senate have the conviction that the treacherous hand that perpetrated this heinous crime will receive a fair punishment," urging Jordanians to rally behind their leadership and security forces. Petra
