Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Criminal investigation officers on Monday arrested three people, who tried to steal a ATM machine in the Balqa Governorate three days ago, according to a security source.

It said that Balqa police, acting on a tip they received early on Friday that unidentified persons had tried to steal a ATM machine at a local bank, promptly moved to the scene and began collecting information.

It said a preliminary investigation found that four people had come to the ATM in a vehicle and tried to "tamper with it, but they failed in their attempt and drove off." The source said that a special police force was formed and identified snd arrested one of the individuals involved, who confessed to the attempted robbery, which he perpetrated along with two other accomplices. It said a search for the fourth suspect was underway.

The source said that one of the suspects was caught with a gun in his possession along with the vehicle, which had been stole.

It said further investigations will be conducted and that the suspects will be referred to the judicial authorities.
