Cold weather remains until Tuesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Cold and partly cloudy weather is forecast on Sunday with rainfall at times across the Kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Winds will be northwesterly brisk with strong gust exceeding 70 km/h in some regions. Fog formation is also forecast at night in many areas of the country, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 12 degrees Celsius dropping down to 5 and 4 degrees at night, while in the Gulf of Aqaba mercury level will register a high of 23 degrees dropping down to 14 degrees at night.
Mercury levels will rise few degrees on Monday, but relatively cold weather will remain in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba. Clouds at various altitudes and fog formation over the mountainous areas are also forecast at night, the JMD added.
Temperatures will continue to rise on Tuesday, but similar weather conditions will continue with southeasterly moderate, the Department noted.
