King: Jordan to spare no effort in caring for Muslim, Christian sanctities in Jerusalem

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Monday, sent a letter to Abdou Salam Diallo, Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
In the letter, the King stressed that the two-state solution, which enjoys Arab and international accord, is the basis for ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and constitutes the gateway for a comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
His Majesty emphasized that the international community is required to shoulder its responsibilities and urge all parties to adhere to this solution.
King Abdullah vowed that Jordan will continue, in coordination with the Palestinian National Authority, to make various efforts by all available means and ways to take care of Muslim and Christian shrines in Jerusalem, preserve their identity and support the steadfastness of Muslims and Christians in the city.
He also affirmed that Jordan will continue to urge the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in stopping all Israeli arbitrary actions and violations in the holy city, especially those targeting the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings.
