Ammon News - The Israeli Minister of Development of the Negev and the Galilee, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, called on the occupation government to take emergency measures on the border with Jordan to combat infiltration.
Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf urgently contacted the Secretary of the Israeli Cabinet, Yossi Fuchs, demanding an emergency meeting of the government regarding the issue of "mass infiltration from Jordan," as he said, according to the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
The newspaper claimed that in recent months, over 4,000 infiltrators crossed the unsecured border with Jordan and entered Israel.
"This is not just a demographic problem", "but a real threat to the integrity of the State of Israel. The unsecured border serves as a conduit for smuggling weapons, drugs, and dangerous materials, allowing our enemies to penetrate our territory," Wasserlauf added.
"We cannot continue to ignore the growing danger," he said. "We must act decisively to seal the border and protect the state’s security."
