Ammon News - Jordan’s total public debt rose to JD43.752 billion by the end of September 2024, representing 116.8% of the gross domestic product, including the debt owed by the government to the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF), according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
The data indicated that the government settled debts worth JD2.950 billion during the first nine months of 2024, and issued treasury bonds and bills worth JD4.649 billion since the beginning of the year until the end of September.
