King concludes participation in Sun Valley economic forum

Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Friday concluded his participation in the Sun Valley economic forum, which is being held in the American state of Idaho and covers global political and economic issues, with the participation of a number of US and international political, economic, and media leaders.

On the sidelines of the forum, His Majesty held separate meetings with chief executives and representatives of a number of major global companies that operate in the fields of telecom, electronics, retail, e-commerce and healthcare.

The King met with Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, Sony Chairman and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida, Amazon Founder and Executive Chairman Jeff Bezos, Mayo Clinic President and CEO Gianrico Farrugia, and ARM CEO Rene Haas.

The meetings covered Jordan’s efforts to attract investments and improve the doing of business environment within the framework of the Economic Modernisation Vision, which aims to boost investment in the Kingdom, as well as promote opportunities to benefit from Jordan’s strategic location, free trade agreements, and qualified human resources.

The annual Sun Valley forum is held with the participation of international leading figures to discuss the latest global political and economic developments.

From Sun Valley, His Majesty headed to Salt Lake City, Utah, to participate in the National Governors Association 2024 Summer Meeting, where the King will hold a meeting with a group of governors from the Republican and Democratic parties to discuss the latest regional developments, especially the war on Gaza and the importance of reaching a ceasefire, as well as ways to boost economic cooperation with their states.
