Ammon News - The Moroccan Foreign Affairs Minister, Nasser Bourita, stated in Rabat on Tuesday that Moroccan and French diplomacy, led by King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron, will work together in a spirit of outstanding partnership.

After discussions with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jean-Noël Barrot, Mr. Bourita emphasized that the diplomacy of both countries will guarantee that the same atmosphere from the talks between His Majesty the King and the French President will be upheld in daily interactions, as well as in regional, international, and multilateral organizations.

Mr. Bourita sees this as a new phase and achievement in their strong relationship in this new era initiated by His Majesty the King and the French President on Monday, two days ago.

The Minister emphasized that the agreement on the "exceptional and strong partnership" between Morocco and France, signed on Monday in Rabat by His Majesty the King and President Emmanuel Macron, outlines the principles that will direct this new stage, emphasizing the governance and key areas of the partnership, as well as the territorial reach of its execution.

He emphasized that this statement will direct our upcoming tasks, highlighting that despite varying diplomatic customs, Morocco and France, with common aims of stability and progress, will collaborate to enhance consultation and coordination mechanisms through this new alliance.

Mr. Bourita mentioned that the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently published the official map of Morocco, which now includes the Sahara, and expanded the consular district to include the southern provinces. This follows the initiative of King Mohammed VI in support of the national cause.

He determined that France has a crucial role to play in this situation due to its Security Council position and understanding of the conflict's history and evolution.
