Customs Department thwarts smuggling of 73,500 Captagon pills

Ammon News - Jordan Customs Department (JCD) spokesperson said that the cadres at Jaber border crossing , in cooperation with the security services and the Anti Narcotics Department (AND), thwarted attempts to smuggle (73,500) Captagon pills in two separate cases.

The customs staff working at the Jaber border customs center were able to thwart the smuggling of (38,500) Captagon pills arriving with a passenger from a neighboring country, the JCD said in a statement.

At the same border and in another case, a quantity of (35,000) Captagon pills was seized, which were found inside a passenger bus coming from a neighboring country, the JCD added.

Jordan Customs Department confirmed that its cadres work in all border customs centers with other security agencies and the Anti Narcotics Department to combat the entry of such narcotic pests across the border as part of their duties to protect both the citizen and the economy.
