Drug dealers arrested across Jordan, one classified as dangerous

Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that during the past few days, the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) dealt with 6 specific cases in various regions of the Kingdom, during which seven people, including drug dealers, and smugglers, were arrested.

The most prominent of these cases was in the Ramtha District, where an investigation and follow-up team from the administration followed up on information about two people storing large quantities of narcotic pills in order to smuggle or sell them inside the Kingdom, where they were arrested and approximately half a million pills were seized in their possession, the spokesperson confirmed.

In Mafraq governorate, an Arab truck driver was arrested and 120,000 narcotic pills were found hidden inside the vehicle.

Also in Mafraq governorate, the location of a drug dealer was raided after information was received about his possession of large quantities of narcotic substances, in which he was arrested and 20 palm-sized sheets of hashish were found in his possession.

A dealer in Karak governorate was also arrested in possession of 3,000 narcotic pills and a quantity of narcotic hashish, while a drug dealer in Ma’an governorate was raided and arrested, and 7,000 narcotic pills and a quantity of narcotic hashish were seized in his possession.

In one of the areas of West Balqa governorate, a person classified as dangerous was arrested after information was received about his cultivation of quantities of narcotic marijuana seedlings and a raid was conducted on him, in which quantities of narcotic marijuana seedlings were seized inside his place.
