Ammon News - Former Prime Minister Aoun Khasawneh heads on Thursday to the city of The Hague in the Netherlands, to begin his work as a judge in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the case brought by the government of Nicaragua against the Federal Republic of Germany due its refusal to abide by the ICJ's recently issued decision related to not supplying weapons to Israel.

Khasawneh participates in the court, appointed by the Nicaraguan government to represent it against Germany in the case brought by Nicaragua, according to Ammon’s sources.

The ICJ recently decided to impose temporary measures on the Israeli occupation with the aim of preventing violations of the genocide, and to reject Israel's request to dismiss the case in the case brought against it by South Africa on chares of committing war crimes in Gaza.

The ICJ said that the hearings will be devoted to requesting a reference to the temporary measures contained in Nicaragua’s request, noting that the first hearing will be for Nicaragua on April 8, while the second hearing will be on April 9 for Germany.
