Ammon News - Bassem Awadallah's lawyer, Michael Sullivan said that Awadallah resumes his hunger strike after Ramadan, starting Monday, May 1, 2023.
"This morning, prison officials transferred him to the hospital after 762 days of solitary confinement," Sullivan said in a statement.
It is noteworthy that Awadallah is sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of "incitement against the state and inciting sedition."
