Jordan's tourism revenues at $552mln during January 2023-CBJ

Ammon News - Jordan's tourism income increased by 122.2% during January 2023, standing at $551.8 million, compared to the corresponding month last year, the latest data issued by Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) showed.

This growth was due to the increase in the number of tourists arriving to the Kingdom by some 292, 400 visitors, reaching a total of 504,000, compared to the same month in 2022, the CBJ figures revealed.

Meanwhile, Jordanians' spending on tourism abroad rose during January 2023, by 109.1%, to reach $148.4 million, compared to its level during the same month in 2022, which reflects an increase in the number of Jordanians traveling abroad by 96.4%, the data indicated.
