Ammon News - Cold weather is expected to prevail on Tuesday across the Kingdom with low-altitude clouds, and northwesterly light winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Toward evening and night hours, unstable weather conditions are forecast to affect the country, bringing cloudy skies with occasionally heavy rain in the southern highlands accompanied by thunder and hail and extending later to the eastern and central regions.
Snow showers mixed with rain are also expected over the southern high peaks of Al-Sharah mountain range.
Additionally, the weather department warned of slick roads, frost formation, flash floods, and poor horizontal visibility over the highlands and the Badia due to dense fog and dust.
On Wednesday, cold, cloudy, and rainy weather conditions will persist in most parts of the Kingdom, with a chance for snow flurries over the Al-Sharah highlands.
Temperatures in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 12 degrees Celsius and a low of 2C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 21C, sliding to 9C at night.
