PM: Gov't doesn't accept offending any MP

Ammon News - Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh said that the government doesn't accept offending any member of the Lower House of Parliament, whether intentional or unintentional.

"The dignity of the Lower House and its members is the same as the dignity of the government, and we do not accept insulting them, just as the members of Parliament do not accept insulting the government and its members," Khasawneh said at the beginning of the Lower House session on Monday.

He offered his apology to MP Jamil Al-Ashoush for "the altercation that should not have occurred" with a minister at the a parliamentary committee meeting.

Addressing MP Al-Ashoush, the Prime Minister said, "Dear brother Abu Sahel is one of the nation's best men, and we do not accept hurting his feelings, even if this matter was not intended by any of the members of the government."
