Precipitation at 71pct of annual average

Ammon News - The recent downpour raised precipitation to 71 percent of Jordan's long-term annual average of 8.1 billion cubic meters, constituting 89 percent of overall rain registered last year, the Ministry of Water said on Wednesday.

It added that Salt saw the highest rainfall of 57 millimeters (mm) in the past 24 hours, while the capital Amman witnessed 34.2mm.

Furthermore, 28.4mm were recorded in Balqa and Madaba, 15.7mm in Zarqa, 21.8mm in Jerash, 7.9mm in Mafraq, 18.9mm in Irbid, 26.9mm in Ajloun, 19.9 in Karak, 5.5mm in Tafileh, and 0.8mm in Maan.
