Ammon News - Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army, began routing relief aid to Syria and Turkey, to relieve the injured and the families of the victims of the earthquake that struck large areas in the two countries, in implementation of the royal directives.
Thus, during Tuesday and Wednesday, Jordan sent 5 relief planes to Syria and Turkey, loaded with rescue equipment, tents, logistical and medical materials, relief and food aid, Jordanian rescuers from the international search and rescue team, and doctors from the Royal Medical Services.
According to a statement issued by the JHCO, Wednesday, a plane loaded with relief, food and medical supplies flew to the Syrian city of Latakia.
The JHCO added that a second plane will also be sent to other affected areas in Syria, in addition to flying another plane to Turkey loaded with relief and food aid.
JHCO Secretary-General, Hussein Shibli, said, in press statements, that the JHCO continues to send aid to the two countries, noting that the Organisation continues to receive cash and in-kind donations by establishing an emergency room to receive donations.
