Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Tuesday said it is following up on the conditions of Jordanians in Syria and Turkey after a 7.5-magnitude earthquake ravaged the two countries, killing and injuring thousands of people.
The ministry's spokesman Sinan Majali said the operations center unit is trying to reach two Jordanians with whom contact was lost in the Turkish city of Antakya and are reportedly siblings living in a residential building damaged by the earthquake.
A third Jordanian, who was staying at a hotel, was found and is in good condition, Majali added.
The spokesman said the ministry is in contact with Jordanian embassies in Damascus and Ankara to follow up with Jordanians and assure their families back home.
Jordanians can call for assistance through the Jordanian Embassy in Ankara's hotline (00905484419586), the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus (00963954455455), and the Ministry's operations center via 00962795497777 or the e-mail: op.ctr@fm.gov.jo.
