PM circulates to take into account provisions of Investment Environment Law

Ammon News - The Investment Environment Law No. (21) of 2022's requirements on the registration and licensing of economic activities are found in Article (43) of that law, which Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh circulated to all ministries, government departments, institutions, and public bodies.
"The official authorities that grant licenses must take into account the provisions of this chapter in everything related to granting licenses in terms of requirements, conditions, and procedures, and harmonize their legislation in accordance with its provisions within a period of six months from the date the provisions of this law entered into force," the Article states.
He emphasized the necessity of completing transactions related to the comprehensive investment service within a periodof not more than 15 working days from the date of receiving the completed application for the requirements. If the official authority fails to respond within this period, the transaction will be deemed approved automatically, he added.
The PM stressed that within 6 months of the law's provisions taking effect on January 14, 2023, all ministries, government departments, institutions, and public bodies must align their laws to comply with its terms.
