Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned Israeli occupation authorities' demolition of a number of Palestinian homes in occupied East Jerusalem and displacement of their residents.

In a statement on Thursday, the ministry warned against expelling Palestinians in Khan al-Ahmar area, as displacement of residents from their homes is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

Also, the ministry condemned the ongoing attacks targeting the Christian presence in Jerusalem, the latest was the attack today on "Prison of Christ" church in Jerusalem's Old City.

In addition, the ministry stressed the need to stop all unilateral measures that undermine the two-state solution and perpetuate Israel's occupation.

This bid comes by resuming "serious and effective" negotiations to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution to help all parties enjoy security and peace, in a manner that embodies the independent and sovereign Palestinian state on June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, the ministry pointed out.
