Plan to increase production quantities of natural gas, oil- Minister says

Ammon News - Minister of Energy and Minerals Resources, Saleh Kharabsheh, met Thursday with the Minister of Interior, Mazin Faraya, which they discussed the most important challenges and matters related to the energy file.

Kharabsheh added during the meeting that the energy sector has a clear vision and strategy, as it is one of the sectors that constitute a major challenge for Jordan and its national economy

Kharabsheh talked about 3 main axes, which are electricity, oil derivatives and mineral wealth, pointing out that Jordan is considered one of the distinguished countries around the world in providing electricity generation and delivery services.

The ministry has a clear plan of action to increase the quantities of natural gas and oil production as part of advanced scientific studies of the areas where these mineral resources are located, in a way that achieves sustainable development and creates job opportunities in them, Kharabsheh indicated.

For his part, Faraya stressed that this meeting would enable the administrative rulers to convey government visions to the citizens in the light of His Majesty's assurances of the need to reveal the citizens and their situation in reality and confirm the developmental role of the administrative rulers, especially since they are primarily concerned with daily communication with all segments of society in their governorates.

The meeting, which was held at the Conference Center of the Ministry of Interior, was attended by the administrative governors.
