Ammon News - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Wednesday, received a United Nations delegation, headed by Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix.

The meeting comes in continuation of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army General Command policy to strengthening joint military cooperation, according to a JAF statement.

During the meeting, Huneiti discussed with the UN delegation, in the presence of a number of senior JAF officers, the region's developments and the best ways to achieve stability in this regard.

The two sides also discussed aspects of joint collaboration and coordination and ways to strengthen mutual cooperation relations, especially since the JAF is a "key" supporter and contributor to the United Nations peacekeeping operations and international law enforcement, the statement said.
