Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ali Dagamseh, confirmed that the Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Mohammad Khalayleh, decided to open all mosques in the Kingdom as shelters for those stranded, due to the weather conditions.

Daqamseh told Ammon on Tuesday that the decision includes the use of mosque facilities for all those who are stranded or have suffered damage due to expected weather conditions.

The Ministry of Social Development had also authorized managers in the affected areas to take measures that preserve the safety of citizens and provide them with appropriate shelter during the depression.

It is noteworthy that a very cold and humid air mass associated with an air depression centered in the north of the island of Cyprus began to affect the Kingdom since the early hours of dawn, and it is expected that some areas will witness heavy showers as they are accompanied by the occurrence of thunder and showers of hail at times, with a significant drop in temperatures.
